When it’s cold in Chicago,
I dream,
Of the palm trees (South of here),
Where it’s warm,
The cold wind chills my bones,
Deep down to my very core (but I),
Stick around for more,
It’s relief I crave,
And I’m a slave,
To this Mid-West grave (but it’s),
Where I’ll spend my days,

Replace Winter with the sun,
Melting down my frozen tongue,
Looking out for # 1,
Still it’s just the same as last year,

Now Spring comes,
And I am sprung,
Feeling like I need to run,
All around her heart,
My girl looks lovely in her dress,
Walking down the lane (young lust),
Just won’t refrain,
I tilt my head,
Back to the sky,
Screaming out my lullaby (I),
Don’t ever want to lie,
Beneath the green,
And the stone,
Warm just has a way (of making you feel),
Not at all alone,

With Summer sweat,
Comes regret,
The time that I just need to let,
My hair grow long,

The matter of time,

In the Fall,
I hit a wall,
Colors blend in children’s hands (my world),
Ain’t safe at all,
But as the time,
